Description

British Virgin Islands is located in the Caribbean to the east of Puerto Rico. British Virgin Islands’ population is about 27,000 people and over 153 square kilometers of land mass. There are about 50 islands in the British Virgin Islands, many of which are still uninhabited. The capital of British Virgin Islands is Road Town; a city with a population of 9,400 people and is known to be a favorite stop for cruise ship passengers.

Weather

British Virgin Islands has a typical subtropical climate and tempered by trade winds. There is a little difference involving summer and winter. Rainfall is quite small, shifting vaguely from island to island. British Virgin Islands are susceptible to hurricanes and earthquakes, although these are by no means a frequent occurrence. The primary hurricane season is from June to November. The most popular time to visit is November through April when the weather is an absolute delight.

Language

While English is the official language and generally spoken, it is frequently spoken with an accent and in a fast manner. As a result, several words may at first sound unrecognizable .

Currency

The official currency of the British Virgin Islands has always been the US dollar since 1959. The two pillars of British Virgin Islands’ economy are tourism and financial services. They are known to have one of the most prosperous economies in the Caribbean region.

Tourist Attractions

The Honeymoon Beach is British Virgin Islands’ tourist destination that is located in Virgin Gorda.  This is an ideal place to snug as much as necessary for a romantic couple. This is a small and private beach which is enclosed by a rocky Cliffside with rock pools that shelters a few marine lives.

In Biras Creek Trail, also located in Virgin Gorda, visitors will definitely make friends with a bunch of three-foot iguanas and other land and sea creatures on this striking walking trail through the grounds of this stunning site.
