Description

Canada is a large northern land mass and one of the three countries that occupies North America. It consists of three territories and ten provinces. It has an entire land area of 9,984,670 sq km and with an estimated population of 34,527,000. The capital is Ottawa; recognized as the second largest city in the Province of Ontario and the fourth largest city in the country with a number of 812,129 residents.

Weather

Canada consists of four seasons; summer, fall, winter and spring. However the intensity of the weather of these seasons differs across the country. Winter is freezing cold in for the most part except in British Columbia coast, where winter is reasonable with very small blizzard. The coast of British Columbia together with Vancouver has a reasonable type of weather all year round and thus the seasons are a lesser amount of distinct from one another. In the Rockies, snow resides around merely in the elevated heights. Canmore and Banff may possibly acquire two feet of snow in April, but Calgary does not get a hold of much snowfall. The perfect time to visit Canada is on summer which has the best weather and the biggest arrival of tourists.

Language

English and French are the certified languages of Canada which means that the people have the right to converse with and receive services from federal government institutions in either English or French.

Currency

Canadian dollars are the official currency of Canada and currently the 6th most traded currency in the world. Canada has the 9th biggest economy in the world and is one of the world’s wealthiest nations.

Tourist Attractions

Niagara Falls stands as one of the famous attractions of Canada. It is located on the Niagara River at the southern tip of Ontario, on the border between Canada and the United States.

Another tourist magnet is the so-called Bay of Fundy which is an ocean bay stretching between the provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
