Colorado

Description

Colorado is a U.S. state that encompasses most of the Southern Rocky Mountains. It is bordered by Wyoming to the north, Kansas to the east, Oklahoma and New Mexico to the south, and on the west by Utah. The state covers an area of 104,094 square kilometers and boasts a population of 5,029,196 people. The capital of Colorado is Denver; a wonderful city with a vast population of 600,158 people and an area of 154.9 square kilometers.

Weather

Colorado has a cool and refreshing climate. The mountain regions are constantly cool.  The summer days are always hot but it is also the best season to visit places like the Rocky Mountain National Park, and also to enjoy the many outdoor activities.

Language

Colorado’s official language is English. Spanish is the 2nd most used language which is spoken by over 12% of the population.

Currency

Colorado’s official currency is the US dollar. Economically, Colorado’s agricultural production is dominated by livestock products and driven by the cattle industry. Over 60% of the state’s agricultural revenues are offered by the growth of cattle and calves.

Tourist Attractions

Denver Zoo is one of Colorado’s tourist attractions and it offers visitors a magnificent paradise filled with rare animals like the red pandas, emperor tamarins, and maned Wolves. Denver Zoo has a variety of fun events like Boo at the Zoo and Zoo Lights. Boo at the Zoo is held each Halloween and is an immense fun for Children. Zoo Lights is open during December evenings. This is a stunning saunter through a wonderland of lights; many of them are animated and represent animals at the zoo.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a public natural history and science museum. This 500,000-sq ft building houses more than a million collections of natural history and anthropological materials.
