Delaware is a state in the United States of America which is located on the Atlantic Coast in the mid-Atlantic region. Delaware neighbor’s Maryland to the south and west, to the north Pennsylvania and to the east New Jersey. Delaware is among the smallest states ranking as the second smallest state after Rhode Island. Delaware is further divided into three counties; Kent, New Castle and Sussex with New Castle being the most inhabited of the three.

Delaware has moderate climate and this can be attributed to fact that almost all parts of the state border the ocean. Delaware has mild winters and perfect summers. During summers, it is usually crowded, however in May and September during the fringe season, you are likely to find comfortable temperatures, cheaper rates and quieter beaches.

Quite a large number of Delaware residents are English speaking folks. However, Spanish and French are quite popular with German and Chinese being the least spoken languages.

The dollar is the official currency used in Delaware. Initially however, the pound, especially the British pound and other foreign coins used to circulate the state. Due to continental currency much later, the dollar dominated. The U.S dollar is now used as a global reserve currency and comes in handy to many financial transactions all over the world.
