Georgia

Description

The State of Georgia is located on the South East of the United States. Georgia borders Florida to the south, the Atlantic Ocean on the east, North Carolina and Tennessee to the north and Alabama to the west. Georgia’s capital city is Atlanta. Georgia holds about 10 million residents with Atlanta being the most populous of all cities within the State of Georgia. It covers an area of about 153,909 square kilometers.

Weather

Georgia has a typically mild Southern climate. Very seldom does it experience snow fall; except for the mountainous areas. The summers are enjoyable, though humid and hot. Winter has cool temperatures and warmer winter can be experienced along the Florida border and coastal areas.

Language

In Georgia the  majority of the residents speak English. However because there are other races and different ethnic groups, other languages are used as well. Spanish is the second most spoken language, French, German and Vietnamese follow.

Currency

The currency used in the State of Georgia is the dollar. Georgia has a gross State product of $396 billion and if it were to be a country of its own, it would rank among the largest economies in the world. The economy does well and so does the State.
