Gibraltar, covering a land area of 6.8 square kilometres, has a population of 29,431 people. It is classified as a British territory which is located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula at the entrance of the Mediterranean. The capital of Gibraltar is also Gibraltar.

Gibraltar has a Mediterranean climate with tranquil winters and warm dry summers although from the month of May to September, and it can get extremely hot and humid. You won’t find a rainy season here, although the majority of rain falls occur within the winter months. The beginning of July to August is practically Gibraltar’s worst period because of the scorching heat. The best time to visit Gibraltar is from April to October because of the serene weather.

Gibraltar’s official language is English. Spanish is also widely spoken although it’s on a lesser degree. Many of the people of Gibraltar are bi-lingual and they can speak both English and Spanish with an equal fluency.
