Guadeloupe is an archipelago located in the Leeward Islands and covers an area of 1,628 square kilometers and has a population of 405,500 people. The capital of Guadeloupe is Basse-Terre; a city with a population of 12,748 people and holds a land mass of over 5.78 square kilometers.

Weather

Guadeloupe has a warm tropical climate which is characterized by two seasons; the hot and humid season that falls from June to November and a dry and cooler season running from December to May. Guadeloupe can be a memorable place and many travellers choose to visit during the tourist season which is mid-December to mid-April. That is the period when the weather condition in the Caribbean is more delightful.

Language

Guadeloupe’s official language is French but the natives frequently use the local Creole among themselves. English is also broadly spoken but only in tourist areas.
