India is a country that is located in South Asia. India shares land borders with China and Nepal to the northeast; Pakistan to the west; and Bangladesh and Burma to the east. The country itself covers an area of 3,287,263 square kilometers and boasts a population of 1,210,193,422 people. The capital of India is New Delhi; a city with a population of 294,725 people and a land area of 42.7 square kilometres. Weather

The weather is very hot most of the year. The best time to visit India is around December to February which has the coolest weather including fresh mornings and evenings. The really hot weather is between March and June. Monsoon rains occur in most regions in summer that runs from June to early October.

Language

Hindi in the Devanagari script is the general language of India while English serves as its secondary official language.

Currency

India’s official currency is the Indian rupees. Economically, India is a rising nation which has witnessed unparalleled heights of economic growth. India is a cost efficient and labor rigorous economy, and has gained greatly from outsourcing of employment from developed countries.

Tourist Attractions

Taj Mahal is the main tourist attraction in India. It receives almost 4 million visitors a year. A dual- fee system is prepared in considerably lowering the entrance fee for Indian citizens than for foreigners.

Another tourist attraction is Qutb Minar which is a tower that is located in Delhi. It is known to be the world’s tallest brick minaret with a height of 72.5 meters.
