Indonesia

Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia. This country shares land borders with East Timor, Papua New Guinea, and Malaysia. Indonesia covers an area of 1,919,440 square kilometers and has a vast population of over 237,556,363 people. The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta; a city with a population of 9,580,000 people and a land mass of 740.28 square kilometers.

Indonesia has a tropical climate which is hot and humid. Indonesian climate is divided into two diverse seasons: rainy and dry seasons. Although travelling in the wet season is not typically a key problem in most parts of Indonesia, nevertheless mud-blocked roads can be a deterrent. The ideal time to visit Indonesia is in the dry season from June to September.

The official language of Indonesia is Bahasa Indonesia. Aside from speaking the official language, the Indonesians are often fluent in other regional language like Javanese, Minangkabau and Sundanese which are usually used in the local community.

Indonesia’s official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah. Indonesia has a market-based economy in which the government does an important role by possessing more than 164 enterprises and manages the prices on numerous goods like electricity, rice, and fuel.

Sulawesi is popularly known to be one of the many tourist destinations of Indonesia. Sulawesi has awe-inspiring environment of high mountains, foggy valleys and astonishing lakes, geysers and hot springs like Karumengan, Kinilow, Lahendong, Leilem and Makule.

The tropical paradise Bali is famous with its amazing white beaches, luxuriant jungle and towering mountains. Bali is famed for its crafts and audacious activities which are well thought-out on the southern beaches.
