Israel is a sovereign country in southwest Asia and located between the eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the head of the Gulf of Aqaba. The country covers an area of 22,072 square kilometers and boasts a population of 7,746,000 people. The capital of Israel is Jerusalem; a city with a population of 780,200 people and a land area of 125.1 square kilometres.

Israel has a typical Mediterranean climate with cool, rainy winters and a pleasant spring and autumn. The summer can be scorching hot, especially in the south. Israel can be visited all through the year. From March to May and from September to November are the most ideal months to visit for the reason that the weather is cooler and temperatures are gentle thus making it the perfect time to travel around the country.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is one of the reasons that tourists visit Israel. The Church is the holiest site in Christianity and it can be seen in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre has been a pilgrimage site for over 1,600 years.
The Dead Sea borders Jordan to the east and Israel to the west. The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth with an approximately 1,300 feet below sea level. Visitors can float with ease due to its concentration of minerals which is the highest in the world.
