Also known as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, this State is located on the North Eastern area in the New England region. Massachusetts borders Connecticut and Rhode Island to the south, New Hampshire and Vermont to the north and to the west, New York. The capital city of Massachusetts is Boston which is also the largest area in the State. Massachusetts has about 6.5 million people and covers an area of 27, 366 kilometers squared.

Weather

Massachusetts has a humid continental climate. There are significant differences between the western and eastern sections. Massachusetts generally experiences moderately warm summers and cold winters but in certain areas like the Berkshires, they experience cool summers and cold winters. Springs are usually cloudy and wet.

Language

There is no official language in Massachusetts. However, a majority of the population speak English followed by Spanish, Portuguese, and French or Chinese.

The currency used in Massachusetts is the dollar. Massachusetts has been ranked among the best States for business in U.S. and this can be credited by various sectors of the economy including tourism.
