Description

Missouri State is located on the Midwestern region of the U.S. It is bordered by Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Tennessee. The capital city of Missouri is Jefferson City, Arkansas city being one of the largest cities in the states. Missouri has 114 counties with a population of about 6 million and covers 180, 533 kilometers squared. Missouri is the only state that has two Federal Reserve Banks which are in Kansas City and St. Louis.

Weather

Due to its humid continental climate, Missouri has humid and hot summers and cold winters. The southern area of the state however experiences the humid subtropical climate. Missouri normally experiences extreme temperatures which are influenced by the Arctic cold winds and humid gulf air. During winter, Missouri is less populated and this means you can get good deals.

Language

The official language in Missouri is English which the majority of people use. Nevertheless, there are other languages such as Spanish which are spoken by small Latino communities in Kansas City Metro and St. Louis areas. Occasionally you can find people who speak French though this is becoming and endangered dialect in the state.
