Description

Netherlands, also called Holland, is one of the countries that make up the Kingdom of Netherlands. It is located in North-West Europe with land in the Caribbean. Netherlands neighbours North Sea to the North and West, Belgium to the South and Germany to the East. It shares maritime borders with Germany, Belgium and UK. Netherlands covers a land area of 41,848 square kilometers and has a population of 16,684,500 million people. The capital of Netherlands if Amsterdam, a city with an urban population of 1.2 million people.

 

Weather

Netherland’s climate is generally maritime with cool summers and mild winters. The best months to visit are between June and August.

Language

Netherland’s official language is Dutch. Other regionally recognised languages spoken by people on Netherlands are Frisian Papiamento and English.

Currency

The official currency in the Netherlands is the Euro (EUR), which is used in almost all countries within the European Union. Netherlands has a very strong economy is one of the world’s 10 leading exporters countries.
