Panama is a country located in the southernmost part of Central America. Situated on a narrow land connecting North and South America, Panama neighbours Costa Rica to the Northwest, Colombia to the Southeast, the Caribbean Sea to the North and the Pacific Ocean to the South. Panama, which controls the Panama Canal covers a land area of 75,517 square kilometers and has a population of 3,405,813 million people. The capital of Panama is Panama City with a population of 1.2 million people.

Panama’s climate is generally tropical with two seasons; the rainy and dry seasons. The best time to visit Panama is during the dry season, usually mid December to mid April.
