Description

Saint Lucia is an island country located in the Eastern side of Caribbean Sea, on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. Saint Lucia borders the island of Saint Vincent to the north/northeast, Barbados to the northwest and Martinique to the south. Home to two Nobel Laureates, Saint Lucia covers a land area of 620 square kilometers. The country has a population of over 173,000 people.  Saint Lucia’s capital is Castries, a city with a population of over 61,000 people.

Saint Lucia generally has a tropical climate. The best months to visit are mid December to mid-April. 

 

Language

Saint Lucia’s official language is English.

Currency

Saint Lucia’s official currency is the East Caribbean dollar (XCD). The country has a well developed infrastructure that is attractive to foreign investors; its economy is dependent on banking and tourism.

Tourist Attractions

There is so much to explore in this Island Country that is endowed with natural. Saint Lucia offers a wide variety of historical, cultural and heritage sites. Visit the Fregate Island on the Atlantic coast, a nesting colony of Frigate and other birds and experience their natural beauty. Set on a 10 acre natural garden are the spectacular La Tille Falls, you can walk upstream to a 100 year old dam or swim in a pond behind the dam. Also, visit the Anse Chastanet Marine National Park that offers several depth challenges for divers. Enjoy sailing to the volcano and Diamond Gardens in Soufrière on The Endless Summer I & II catamarans, each 56 ft long from Castries to Soufrière daily. In guests are taken to the volcano and the Diamond Gardens.
