Sweden is officially known as the Kingdom of Sweden and it is a Nordic country located on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. Norway neighbors Sweden to the west and Finland to the east; and the country is linked to Denmark by the Øresund Bridge. Sweden covers a total land area of 450,295 square kilometers and is the third largest country in the European Union by area. Sweden’s population is approximately 9.4 million people. Sweden’s capital city is Stockholm.

Sweden generally has a moderate climate. The best month to visit is early June, during summer. May and July are good months too.
