Vermont

Description

Vermont is a U.S. state which is located on the northeast region in the New England area. It is among the smallest states and covers an area of about 24,000 kilometers squared. Vermont has a population of about 630,337 and it is the second smallest. This is the only state on the New England region that does not border the Atlantic Ocean. However, Lake Champlain borders Vermont to the west, Massachusetts to the south, New York to the west and New Hampshire to the east. Vermont’s capital is Montpelier while the largest city in the state is Burlington.

Vermont has the humid continental climate which has warm humid summers and colder winters while the topography elevates. The best time to travel to Vermont would be during summers and autumns because the weather is mild and the seasons colorful.

Language

The official language for use in Vermont is English. However due to factors such as immigration and ancestry groups, there are other languages which are in use although not as widely as English. French and Spanish are examples.

Currency

The currency used in Vermont is the dollar. The economy majorly relies on Agriculture. Foreign currency conversion is catered for by most banks and hotels.
